I know keeping fit and losing weight is such a cliché new year’s resolution but this year I actually want to do it and for the right reasons. I have always been a very fit person but since becoming a mother I have not actively exercised. That being said, looking after a baby and then an active toddler isn’t exactly a holiday on the beach.
But kids grow up and become a bit more self-sufficient and you do get a bit of time to lounge around. I have been doing a bit of research into yoga classes and pilates and it seems to suit my needs. I have one or two injuries from my youth and can’t really do high impact exercise and so the gentle yet effective movements of yoga and pilates can strengthen my previous injuries while still giving me the work out I need.
